Mountain biking in the Saalachtal valley

The Saalachtal valley has everything that mountain bikers and cyclists could ever wish for: From easy family tours in the valley, challenging mountain bike tours on remote summits, to tricky single trails and absolute downhill delights. The varied landscape with green Alpine meadows, forests, forest paths and endless single trails makes the region a real paradise for mountain bikers, cyclists and e-bikers.

If you want, you can cycle part of the route of the Tauernradweg cycle path directly from our doorstep, or you can master the 70km long Skulpturenradweg cycle path, which you can also start from our building. The path goes around the Leoganger Steinberge mountain range, and there are fantastic sculptures and artworks on display every two to three kilometres.

Along the cycle path, lots of inns invite you to take a break, and a stop at the picturesque Pillersee lake is highly recommended.

On your bike and pedal away - that’s what it’s all about in the Lofer Alpine Meadows, which will delight any bikers with a number of beautiful, well-marked MTB paths. One highly-recommended route goes across the Waidringer Steinplatte, to the Winklmoosalm in Reit im Winkl and on to Unkener Heutal.
